Graduated in Animal Husbandry from the University of Agriculture, Pakistan in 1996 with distinction. Completed M.Sc. (Hons) in Animal Nutrition (1998) and Doctorate in Animal Nutrition  (2004) from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. Joined University of Alberta in 2007 as a Post-Doctorate fellow and conducted research on the Dietary Methionine Requirements and Availability for Broiler Chickens through chick bioassay and the Indicator Amino Acid Oxidation Technique.

While considering the teaching assignments as Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor, at PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, Pakistan since 1999, have actively involved in teaching at graduate and postgraduate levels.  The teaching activities focused on the courses of livestock management, poultry husbandry, ruminants and poultry nutrition. However, the personal preferences are related to feed evaluation, multispecies diet formulation and processing technologies. 

Production of protease & phytase enzyme, probiotic production, amelioration of heat stress in broilers through dietary electrolytes and amino acid nutrition of poultry were the main areas explored. Through Post-doctorate research we realized that different sources of dietary Methionine can be used effectively with almost same bio-efficacies on equi-molar basis without affecting broiler performance. The technological development of poultry diets for economical production remained the challenge for research. Currently focused my work on nutritional product development like probiotics, enzymes and phytogens.

Established links with poultry industry to strengthen public-private partnership and to commercialize research products. Farmers training through workshop and KISSAN MELAS (farmer’s gathering) have been in progress for the resolution of farmer’s issues.

Being a creative and research writers have more than 100 publications in total and 40 publications have been published in peer reviewed IF journals. Being a creative writer, a large number of article (scientific, policy papers, brochures, article for farmers  etc) are on my credit.

I am developing a team of experienced and active members for the the betterment of “Livestock Farmer’s Communities”.
